Applicants to the BS4S programme are expected to propose an original interdisciplinary research project to be carried out during the fellowship. The project should be characterised by a high-risk/high-gain approach, broader impact, and/or potential for wide-ranging applications.
The use of the provided Project Proposal template and the completion of all required sections is mandatory.
Each applicant must provide at least two letters of support:
- one from a mentor based at IChF (using the provided template),
- one from an international co-mentor affiliated with a research organisation, who is a high-profile scientist and holder of an ERC, EIC, or another prestigious grant (using the provided template).
Optionally, you may involve a business partner in your project. While not required, this is considered an added value (see Evaluation Criteria). In such a case, please also submit a supporting letter from the business co-mentor (no template provided).
CV containing a description of:
- Career Course (in academia and beyond), notably research/application projects, a candidate’s role in these projects, description of international experience, countries of residence;
- Key Research Outputs: major publications; patents, industrial or utility designs (applications or granted rights).
Please attach a scan of your PhD diploma or a formal document confirming the successful defence of a doctoral thesis.
